GIGI Musical, MFA thesis project set in 1895 France.

My twist on my costume design project on Gigi’s story is a feminist one for our time. Unlike the women (rich or poor) of that era, the Gigi character in my take is a modern woman who rides a bike and plays tennis. She engages with society and does not conform to the limited and defined roles and the fate expected of her and other women by the norms of that era. This take on the story needs a modern director. Greta Gerwig and other female directors would be a great choice for a re-make of this movie.
